I teach kindergarten. My students are in a 92% poverty rate area. My school is an early childhood school.

Kindergarten children come to school below average ability in high poverty areas. Prescribed texts are at or above grade level. Using a digital camera can produce student created text to help with both reading and writing by creating appropriate texts for our below average readers and writers. Help our writers create texts and improve their abilities.

Student generated text is the text to create success for children to read. If they read with success they are more likely to take risks and come closer to meeting the standards.

Help "kinders" grow in the garden! You can help my "kinders" raise their literacy level and allow them to make memories that last a life time.
