My students need a hands on approach to learning about science. The fun filled activity centers will allow the children to use their eyes and fingers to discover and explore. The large magnifiers will allow for up close discoveries.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Rusk's classroom raised $431
This project is fully funded
Special needs children need creative, special learning fun. I am a special education teacher. My students have a wide range of disabilities. My room is a self-contained cross categorical classroom. I work with three and four year old students. Around 95% of the children in my school receive free breakfast and lunch.
My classroom is not provided a science curriculum or hands on materials to help introduce science concepts. Having children with special needs requires a special approach to learning.
The science activity centers will allow the children to investigate scientific properties of more than 20 specimens from rocks and shells to feathers and pinecones. The centers will allow the children to sort, observe, classify and examine each object. This will help my special needs children gain an understanding of basic scientific principles.
Your generosity will help make my children make all kinds of up-close discoveries. They will gain an understanding of basic scientific principles in a hands on fun and exciting manner. I appreciate your kindness in helping to provide fun science items for my classroom.
