Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach 8th grade Math in an urban school that serves predominantly high-need students.

I teach from a wheelchair so when the students share their work they are limited to how that can be done. Work on the white/black boards means that I can not expand on their work because I can not reach it.

My students in general are very intuitive and creative and find ways to make life and learning easier for all of us. My dream is to meet their efforts and provide them with an Elmo so that we continue the good work in our classroom. With the Elmo they can present their work as it was originally done and it allows me, and others, to expand on what was done and move our learning forward.

Your support of our classroom will serve two purposes; it will provide my students with a better way to share their work/experience others work (which encourages them to come prepared so that they have the opportunity to share) and it also brings new technology into our classroom.
