Crash Boom Bang! We Need New Cymbals!

My students need a new pair of 18-inch Orchestral Viennese Cymbals for band performances.

It is one of the most recognizable instruments in the National Anthem - it comes right after the big bass drum, and catches the ears of all that are listening in the stands. But without a new pair of cymbals, the part is lost, and everyone has to wonder, "Where's the Cymbal Player??"

Our current crash cymbals have had a long life of use. This year, they finally had their last 'crash' before cracking on the edge. After a cymbal has cracked, it is impossible to fix. And the distinct sound of a good pair of crash cymbals is lost.

Our band program needs a new pair of concert crash cymbals that can be used not only in the classroom but during marching band as well. I will be able to finally demonstrate how a good pair of crash cymbals are supposed to sound, and teach my students the proper technique for achieving a beautiful sound out of the instrument.

Your generous contribution to our program will certainly be appreciated by our percussionists, as well as those spectators at the Friday night football games anxiously awaiting the big Boom-CRASH in the National Anthem. Your support means so much!
