This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a fifth grade teacher who teaches a group of students who are eager to learn. The majority of my students come from low income households and have free or reduced lunch. The school that I teach at is a haven for many of the children .
Currently several of my students are having difficulty with basic reading comprehension skills. A fun way for me to help build these skills would be through the use of games that target the specific areas in which they are weak. These games will help build and reinforce the skills they need to become skilled readers. Being a skilled reader plays a major part in their overall success. Reading is required in everything we do.
I have seen how excited the children get when you mention the word "Games". Their faces seem to light up. Oh how exciting it would be to see them learning and really enjoying it.
The materials I am seeking is a library of reading comprehension games.
Your help will make it possible for my students to become proficient readers. I Thank you in advance for investing in my students future.
