This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Thank you for the possibility of procuring an overhead projector for my science class. I work at Roosevelt High School teaching ninth grade living environment. My goal is to give my students the best education possible, as it should be for all educators. Unfortunately, the children I teach come for an economically challenged where the parents of the district have, once again, voted against the budget. This make supplies hard to come by and much appreciated.
It is my intention to make my daily notes more visible to students using the overhead projector. These include pictures for the visual learner, charts for the analytical learner and notes for the linguistic learner as well as assisting the kinesthetic learner by allowing them to write on the overhead. In addition, having an overhead will assist with review of material and conducting learning games.
What makes these needs more pressing is the fact that traditional teaching can not take place in my classroom. The blackboard is in a dilapidated state. The chalk doesn't adhere in all areas and has profanity permanently drawn on it (when the viewing screen is in use, this is covered).
My students and I thank you in advance for any consideration you afford us. They are worth it.
