I am a 10th year science teacher at an urban high school. I was an engineer for 10 years before switching into teaching and I use my engineering experience to show my students how physics relates to the real world. My students are great, smart, curious, hardworking students. They are all 11th and 12th graders. The high school is an urban high school with 95% of the students qualifying for free meals. These students deserve to have a great educational experience and these projects help them do that. Many of my students go off to colleges like Yale, Harvard, MIT, Tufts, and many more.
