These second grade students love to read....they love to talk about their reading adventures, love to share book recommendations with each other, as well as share their newly found excitement about reading with me! With this being our second year into our new balanced literacy program, our teachers are seeing students' excitement level grow as well as their reading fluency and comprehension make great gains! We live in a small, rural school district with limited resources but with a limitless love for learning and all things involving reading! Our families are very supportive of their children and will do whatever it takes to help them be successful, which helps make our jobs much easier as teachers!
