Children deserve to see themselves reflected in books in the classroom. The books can help students feel welcome and part of the classroom community. These books are also a great way for students to learn about other cultures and pique their curiosity. I will also use them for whole-class read aloud to practice reading comprehension skills. The other supplies included within this project are to help my students see that they are cared about. They will have new classroom supplies to start their year off right. The colors are bright and fun and will keep us organized. The whiteboards can be used in many ways throughout the school day. Please help me, help my students start the new year with engagement and enthusiasm.
