My students will use these picnic tables in our outdoor learning environment. We will use them daily when we go outside for large and small group, and partner learning in all academic areas. We will also use them for outdoor art, such as painting, decoupage, clay and paper mache. They will be used for special activities in the classroom, such as getting to eat lunch outside. The second grade at my school is experiencing flexible seating to improve student attention, engagement and thought processing. The addition of two picnic tables would allow us to learn in our beautiful outdoor space. The picnic tables would be an easy addition that could begin being used immediately.
