Our school hosts an annual parade to honor our Veterans, as well as to celebrate special accomplishments from other departments in the school. We do not have any marching drums and have to borrow from another school that has no affiliation with our school. They have been gracious to lend us a drum for the past 3 years, and I would like to have one the students can practice on and use for the parades. These drums will give the students a set they can carry with pride and actually be able to play the beat for the band to follow. Students will clap and cheer with the beat of the drum because the drum is an important part of the parade; it keeps the musicians in time while they play instruments and excites the by standers as they watch the parade pass by!
