Algebra Tiles are endorsed by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Using Algebra Tiles, I can visually show my students how to represent equations and expressions, solve 1-step or 2-step equations, combine like terms, expand algebraic expression, and even factoring expressions! Last year, we made paper cut-outs of Algebra Tiles I found online, which was effective but also quite cumbersome and time-consuming. Paper tiles were a bit too flimsy, and they didn't last very long. It would save us some trees and time if we could jump straight into learning algebra, with a class set of Algebra Tiles! I love algebra, and I hope that with this additional resource, students will be able to have a fun way to grasp the subject.
