This “Sensory Path” will help our students find a calming path to success! We already have an awesome Eagle Scout who is painting an exciting and colorful path for our students to journey through when they need a calming adventure. We want to add soft stepping stones, balance balls, and astroturf shapes to provide many different textures for our students who have some sensory needs. Our goal is to provide a place where all students can find something that will bring them peace and calm so that they can do their best at school The Sensory Path will have vibrant colors, eye-catching shapes, and interactive textures. Children need a brain break. By taking children to use the Sensory Path, they will complete a series of movements as they move through the path that is designed to release the blocked paths and allow the body and brain to refocus. The Sensory Path will be outside in our common area for all students to enjoy.
