Hi! I am a proud elementary school band director who loves making music with 4th and 5th graders. I work with children to discover the power and beauty of music while developing intrinsic motivation, problem-solving and collaboration skills. I am lucky to work in a very diverse school in terms of ethnicity, language, religion, and socio-economic background. I learn something new from my students every day, and I feel fulfilled knowing that my students are getting a well rounded education that includes creativity and life skills, and stimulates many parts of their hearts and minds. This year my 4th grade band has about 65 members and my 5th grade band has about 70 members. Many of my students cannot afford to rent or own instruments so I am always looking for more school instruments to loan to my students at no cost. Instruments are what brings me to DonorsChoose.org!
