Hi! I teach the high school and middle school law and debate classes at my school. I also coach the debate team for 6th-12th graders. We are one of the few urban public schools with a Debate Team. We started the Debate Team with a handful of students. Today, there are over 100 students on the Debate Team, making us the largest urban debate team in New York City and one of the largest urban debate teams in the country. I have students from special education to Honors. They are all united by their passion for speaking, debating, and learning. This passion combined with the support of Donors Choose has empowered our students with numerous skills - argumentation, rhetoric, public speaking, writing, researching, note taking, listening, technology, philosophy, political science, economics, geography, public policy, etc. As a result our debaters have won numerous local, state and national championships. Thanks!
