Oliver Elementary lies in a very under-privileged and richly diverse area of East Portland. 100% of students receive free breakfast and lunch! Test scores are below state average and the school is being considered a "priority school". Oliver Elementary is one of only 20 schools in Oregon designated a priority school because of "rock bottom reading and math achievement problems". These kids deserve a strong beginning! PLEASE HELP THESE FIRST GRADERS make gains and shrink the achievement gap in less affluent neighborhoods!
