I teach in a 5th grade classroom of students coming from many different cultures. Our school has well over 50% of our students receiving free or reduced lunches and we are a title school. With this challenge, our school is very focused on making sure our students perform at standard. We have been very successful in meeting this goal and our school has been honored for our academic excellence for the past two years. One thing we absolutely stress at our school is the importance of reading! In my class, reading is essential!
