I'm privileged to teach some of the most spectacular students a teacher could ever dream of working with. I work in a high-poverty (80% are below the poverty level)Title I school which serves over 660 students of incredibly diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Many of my students are second language learners (ELL Students)--their home languages are English, Spanish, Russian, Hmong, Marshallese, and Lao among others. Many are living in less than desirable home situations, and school is a beacon of hope and stability in their otherwise chaotic lives.
