Rowling's \"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone\", Roald Dahl's \"Matilda\", and Diana Wynne Jones' \"Howl's Moving Castle\". \r\n\r\nWe started the year by digging right into Harry Potter, and my students plead with me to keep reading every single day. The students use their copies to cite evidence while working on reading skills such as character development, setting development, cause and effect, and the list goes on. Putting real books into their hands makes such a difference during our read out-louds!\r\n\r\nYour generosity is felt deeply and I am so blessed with the funding of this project!
