Now they can learn the territories of Australia and it feels like play as they piece together their wooden puzzle. Likewise, they can track the weather daily and interact with their calendar.\r\n\r\nChildren in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd grade classroom were full of joyous outbursts and enthusiasm for their wooden puzzle of the different types of clouds, the timeline of mathematics and the timeline of human communication. Who knew the first handheld phone was invented in 1970? Or that the first fax machine was in 1963? So much imagination was sparked, so many questions, so much curiosity - just by looking at the timeline and discovering its inventions! The same was true for the mathematics timeline. Children were intrigued by the variety of ways humans have created written numerals!\r\n\r\nFinally, the older learners in the grades 4,5,6 were challenged by the research materials evident in their timeline of U.S. History and Native American cultures. The depth of learning they can achieve with these items is immeasurable! Our entire school community will benefit this year, and for years to come, from the addition of these items to our classroom studies. These permanent additions to our resources, give us not only meaningful learning, but engaging activities, independent options for our learners, and the option of revisiting them time and again! This learning will never be \"one and done!\"\r\nThank you for your generous donations to our school. These resources make our school stronger.
