They LOVE all the garden gloves and search for just the right pair to wear as they work. The small hand shovels are great for digging around the roots of weeds and to dig holes to plant additions to our gardens. \r\n\r\nWhen it's time to prune, they can't wait! Pruning off spent blooms, dead branches and flower stalks is so fun. Because our new tools are sharp, they pay attention when using them. Leaves have begun to fall, which means it was time to put our new rakes to work. The rakes can be made longer or shorter to suit the needs of the child using them.\r\n\r\nMid summer, one of the members requested that we plant some tomatoes. We worked hard to dig five holes in the rock solid dirt for two tomato plants, two bell pepper plants and one sunflower plant.
