One group even worked together to build a \"book-holding\" bridge. They are always happy to use them during small reading group time while they learn power words. We also have enjoyed using them for math and whole group writing. This has been a fun way for kids to practice skills while also allowing me to assess what they know. They are able to hold up the whiteboard for me to check without other students seeing. The Crayola markers are an absolute treat to my kids and they have been putting them to use. This is a way to make writing time more fun for the kids because they now have fresh makers to add a picture.\r\n\r\nFor reading, students are working on creating their own stories with the following story elements (characters, setting, problem, solution). We are starting small and working towards a whole story. The Crayola markers are a great help in allowing them to have pictures to match each page of their story.
