With their basic needs met, students were able to concentrate, stay focused, and approach testing with greater confidence.\r\n\r\nWe are proud to share that most students' reading scores improved by at least 1%. More importantly, students felt encouraged, motivated, and inspired to believe in their ability to do great things. Your kindness helped create an environment where our students could thrive academically and emotionally.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in the success of our students. The students were amazed and grateful when they first saw the new supplies. Many of them said things like, \"This is really for us?\" and you could see the relief and appreciation on their faces.\r\nAlready, the cart has become an important resource in our classroom. Students know they can access pads, deodorant, or wipes whenever they need them, which helps them feel more comfortable and confident throughout the school day. One moment that stood out was when a student quietly took what they needed and later shared, \"Now I don't have to worry in class.\" That simple access made a big difference in their ability to focus and participate.\r\nOur next step is to continue normalizing conversations around self care and personal responsibility. We are encouraging students to take what they need without stigma, and we're tying this into lessons about health, respect, and responsibility. The cart is helping create a supportive environment where students feel cared for, which impacts not just hygiene but also self esteem and readiness to learn.\r\nThank you again for making this possible. There were many accidents so we also spent time washing their clothes and coats. \r\n\r\n Helping them to get healthy and stay healthy was one of our goals. They are given what they need to be able to get their homework done, without worrying a bout weather they will have pencils and paper or not. I've heard an outpouring of, \"who got us all this stuff?!\" \"You mean I can KEEP this?\" \"Ms. Paige you always got everything we need\" \"How did you know I'd need this??\".. I could go on. \r\n\r\n Earlier this week, a student who was new to us about a month ago brought in a girl who was new this week. My introduction was, \"this is Ms. Paige. She always has us and whatever we need. So if you need something? she's your girl\". These things mean so much especially when we're talking about basic hygiene products or a sweatshirt to stay warm. and YOU guys are to thank! Thank you doesn't ever feel like enough, as cliche as that sounds, but it really does take a village. \r\n\r\n One of my favorite things are the conversations that follow their excitement or utilization of these things. Conversations that evolve into talking about empathy, giving back or just being kind humans when you can be without expecting anything in return. Their minds are always blown that people donate without knowing them. When writing thank you cards today one girl asked me, 'but why would they do that? they don't know us and have never met us. people just do that?'. These conversations I genuinely believe have as much of an impact as the actual items do.","fullyFundedDate":1733225614500,"projectUrl":"project/social-worker-staples/8683990/","projectTitle":"Social Worker Staples","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Paige","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9210579_orig.jpg?crop=1179,1179,x0,y487&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1692655162060","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9210579"},{"teacherId":9431809,"projectId":8145389,"letterContent":"Thank you for your donations to my students.
