Our classroom lights were so bright, it is nice to have the opportunity to use a softer light when we would like. \r\nMy students have enjoyed using the new materials as well. We listen to the new phonics yoto cards, which also help us to both calm down and learn. We are enjoying using the droppers for many of our practical life works. The rhyming puzzle has helped us to learn about different endings and ending sounds. The hammer and lock and key sets are helping us to work on our fine motor skills. we really appreciate all of your support. It was a major moment for the class to see the items they had researched finally sitting in front of them, ready to be used.\r\n\r\nSince the supplies arrived, the students have taken an extremely active role in caring for the guinea pig's habitat. They even took it upon themselves to create a daily checklist to ensure her care is consistent and thorough. They are especially enjoying the responsibility of learning how to do laundry to keep her washable cage liners clean. One moment that stands out happened during a reading small-group session: a student who often struggles to stay focused was able to pedal quietly while working, allowing him to read for a full 15 minutes—something he had never done before. Meanwhile, our sensory wall has become an essential calm-down station where students can reset and return to learning with confidence. These resources have given my students new ways to regulate their bodies and minds, and because of your generosity, they are discovering what learning feels like when they are truly supported.\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, their faces lit up with excitement and curiosity. Many of them rushed to explore the textures on the sensory wall or asked for a turn at the pedal bike, and even my most hesitant students couldn't wait to try the stand-up desk.
