The students got to use the meter stick to measure distance of objects when reviewing science measurement tools. Students get to see the weekly matchups with the magnatiles posted in class. We have also used the penants to help us visualize the weekly standings when we fill out our weekly reports. Students are more motivated to stay engaged and take ownership of their learning when they are able to work in spaces that meet their needs. We have especially noticed positive effects during reading groups, writing activities, and hands-on learning tasks. Overall, the resources have helped create a welcoming classroom environment that supports both learning and student independence.\r\n\r\nThe students were incredibly excited when they first saw the materials! They immediately wanted to try everything out and were eager to use the new flexible floor seating during class activities.
