The students had a fantastic time exploring the life cycle of a chicken and watching it happen right in front of their very own eyes. The new incubators allowed us to view the eggs much more clearly then we anticipated as the turning occurred within in. Because of this, we did not have to bother the eggs and risk their incubation. The students were so excited when our materials arrived and were eager to get digging. We were able to successfully grow seeds and watch the plants grow in front of our eyes. They also planted seeds as part of their Mother's Day gifts!\r\n\r\nMost of the plants were sent home for families to grow during the summer and harvest. They also loved returning in the fall and seeing that their marigolds grew in our planter box on the playground. They are still blooming!\r\n\r\nWe are hoping to make a schedule over the summer next year where families can come in and water, weed, and tend to our garden boxes. Then, when the students return in the fall, they can taste the fruits of their labor. \r\n\r\nThanks again for your generous donations.
