Because of your kindness, my students now have access to Talisman Phonics card games, PhonicBook catch-up readers, and Who Is books. These resources are not only fun and engaging, but they also give my students the extra practice they need to strengthen their reading skills. The card games, in particular, turn phonics review into an exciting challenge—students barely realize they're practicing because they're having so much fun competing and collaborating.\r\n\r\nThe PhonicBook catch-up readers have been especially meaningful for students who need more support. These books are carefully structured to build confidence, and I've already seen students who once felt discouraged about reading begin to take pride in their progress. The \"Who Is\" series has also been a hit, sparking curiosity about real people and events while allowing students to apply decoding and comprehension strategies in an accessible way.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, reading in our classroom now looks more joyful and purposeful. Students are leaning in, asking questions, and celebrating each other's growth. For some, these materials have turned reading from something intimidating into something they genuinely look forward to.","fullyFundedDate":1742687818763,"projectUrl":"project/peer-power-growing-readers-building-le/9172653/","projectTitle":"Peer Power: Growing Readers, Building Leaders","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hepburn","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6852581_orig.jpg?crop=2153,2153,x0,y579&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1742672596332","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6852581"},{"teacherId":9042376,"projectId":8884059,"letterContent":"You have no idea the impact of your generosity on my students. My students were absolutely ecstatic when opening the brand-new supplies! Many of them have never had access to such high-quality supplies. Opening the activities, touching the sensory manipulatives, and feeling with the sensory materials was incredibly joyous. \r\n\r\nSince then, my students have experienced a lot of academic growth. Their reading has taken off! For students with disabilities, learning is a sensory experience. Using LakeShore Learning materials is a great way for my students to meet their sensory needs and build fine motor skills while gaining instrumental academic knowledge. They have built an understanding of letter sounds and word parts with the various puzzles and activities they've accessed. Additionally, the math activities have been great for our task boxes and independent work! My students have increased their number sense and cardinality through the use of manipulatives. \r\n\r\nYour donations have contributed to my students' development of instrumental skills that help them to access curriculum and build academic knowledge.
