Initially, the students were unsure where to start as they tried to grasp how energy is transferred from mechanical to electrical forms. However, as they understood the concepts, they began to improve their designs using the engineering design process, much like scientists and engineers do.\r\n\r\nBeyond the academic benefits, I observed the students enhancing their teamwork and collaboration skills while working together to build and refine their models. This project allowed them to gain confidence in their ability to implement complex changes and learn the value of persistence. The highlight was when they successfully increased the number of rotations and energy output.
