My students are high school students who are taking the Anatomy and Physiology course to earn 4 college credits for free. I am a firm believer in hands on activites and modeling, which is where the full skeleton is a great help to the students as they learn the names of the bones and being able to identify the bones.\r\n\r\nThe students have named the skeleton Grant! The students were surprised to see, that Grant was about the same size of most of the students. The students were surprised when they placed their hand and foot on top of the model parts how well they lined up. My students we're ecstatic when they first saw the bean bag chairs and the lamp. They were excited to have an area where they could decompress once we were done working for the day or when they had free time. They have been used every single day since we received them!\r\n\r\nThey also greatly enjoyed getting the whiteboards and the graph paper stickers. As you may know, not every students learns the same so having those manipulatives to use when they needed or wanted have truly helped improve the learning of many of my students. \r\n\r\nFinally, thank you for my keyboard and mouse for my laptop. We do not get desktops at my school so having those to use instead of always typing on my laptop has made my job much easier! I have also just now received the all the supplies that were part of my Training for the Trades package. Thankfully I have been able to incorporate these supplies immediately into my program. Students have already noticed the advantage of being able to use quality equipment when fabricating their projects. The ability to use modern equipment has moved my program ahead a number of years. Students have taken advantage of the new equipment and I have a student that now can take Technical College level courses in High School because of your generosity. Next year he may be able to to complete the welding program and graduate High School with a welding degree from Nicolet Technical College.
