With the microscopes, life cycle manipulatives, and science supplies you helped provide, they were able to observe, question, and discover like real scientists. Their curiosity came alive as they examined plant roots, insect wings, and even everyday classroom materials under the microscopes. It was amazing to see their excitement as they made new discoveries they could actually see and touch!\r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable experiences was raising butterflies in our classroom. Students carefully observed each stage—from tiny caterpillars to chrysalises to beautiful butterflies—and documented their observations along the way. When summer arrived, we brought them home to release, giving students a meaningful connection to the natural world they had studied all spring. This hands-on learning experience helped them understand life cycles in a way that no textbook could capture.\r\n\r\nMany of my students come from diverse backgrounds and haven't had opportunities to explore science in this way before. They love putting on their lab coats and goggles, feeling like true scientists as they investigate the world around them. They've been studying plants, butterflies, and even small samples from our school grounds—observing what's usually invisible to the naked eye. Their excitement when they first looked through a microscope was priceless!\r\n\r\nMany of my students come from diverse backgrounds and haven't had opportunities to explore science in this way before. You've helped spark curiosity, confidence, and a love of science that will last far beyond this school year.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students the chance to explore the world up close and inspiring future scientists every day!","fullyFundedDate":1715172175108,"projectUrl":"project/curious-minds-wanting-to-explore-science/8262372/","projectTitle":"Curious Minds Wanting To Explore Science!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Carroll","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3551952_orig.jpg?crop=660,660,x0,y70&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1665677736450","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3551952"},{"teacherId":3551952,"projectId":8417281,"letterContent":"My students were so excited that this project was fully funded! This is something they have been asking for frequently, so to say they were excited is an understatement. It took a bit to get them connected to the school and also to learn a program that we can build in. We can already tell our new 3D Printers will make our STEM Lab experience so much more fun. We are making real-world connections and boosting creativity with this tactile tech while building students' confidence in STEM. We will be able to engineer many new things throughout the school year, and it's mind-boggling to think the sky is the limit on what we can create. \r\nWith your help and support, we have provided our students with endless opportunities to enrich their education and challenge themselves through the STEM curriculum. STEM will also help increase critical thinking skills in a fun and safe way. Not only that, but students will be able to build their 21st-century technological skills through innovation by creating 3D shapes and designs. These will bring our students' wildest dreams to reality! There is so much excitement in creating your own building, creature, or dinosaur in our room, and with your generosity, our students will be able to do just that!\r\nOur entire staff, students, and families would like to thank you for providing these amazing opportunities for our students. Not only have they captured our students' interests, but they have also opened doors to the possibilities for future careers. We could never have done this without you. You are truly superheroes at our school. Thank you for believing in us.","fullyFundedDate":1724875622447,"projectUrl":"project/ready-set-design-we-can-do-anything-w/8417281/","projectTitle":"Ready, Set, Design!
