Your generosity is making a meaningful difference in the lives of children who need it most.\r\nChance is an intensive behavior intervention program for elementary students who struggle in traditional school settings. Many of our students come to us feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, and discouraged by school. They are bright, capable children — but they need tools, structure, and compassion to help them succeed.\r\nBecause of your support, we are able to provide social-emotional learning (SEL) tools, calming objects, and hands-on materials for letters and sounds that meet our students where they are.\r\nYour donation helps us:\r\nTeach emotional regulation using calming tools like sensory items and quiet focus supports that help students reset and return to learning.\r\nBuild confidence and resilience through hands-on SEL activities that teach coping skills, problem-solving, and self-awareness.\r\nStrengthen foundational reading skills using tactile, engaging materials that make letters and sounds accessible for struggling learners.\r\nFor many of our students, traditional approaches haven't worked. They need to move, touch, feel, and experience learning differently. These materials allow us to create a safe, supportive environment where students can practice staying calm, taking risks, and rebuilding trust in school.\r\nWe see the impact every day — a child choosing a calming tool instead of melting down, a student sounding out a word for the first time with confidence, or a small moment of pride when a child realizes, \"I can do this.\"\r\nYour kindness is more than a donation. It is hope, patience, and possibility for children who are learning how to believe in themselves again.\r\nThank you for investing in our students and being part of their second chance.","fullyFundedDate":1766531237181,"projectUrl":"project/a-chance-to-learn-heal-and-grow/9656439/","projectTitle":"A Chance to Learn, Heal, and Grow","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Haden","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1813128_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1470667415536","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1813128"},{"teacherId":1813128,"projectId":9319947,"letterContent":"How is the technology helping your students learn?\r\nThe new headphones are making a huge difference for our students. Because many of our students struggle with focus and emotional regulation, background noise can feel overwhelming. The headphones help them tune in to lessons, therapy sessions, and educational software without distraction. They also allow us to use individualized learning programs in reading and math, so each student can work at their own pace with fewer interruptions.\r\nWhat about the new product is most exciting to your students?\r\nOur students love having something that feels personal and \"grown up.\" They are excited to use the headphones with their reading programs, but also during calming music breaks. For them, it's more than just technology—it feels like a reward and a privilege to have their own set. Several students even said the headphones make school \"feel more like home\" because it mirrors the way they listen to music or watch videos outside of school.\r\nAre there particular students who have especially warmed to this new technology, and how so?\r\nYes! One student who usually resists independent reading has been much more engaged since we introduced the headphones—he looks forward to using his program each day and is staying on task longer. Another student, who often struggles with noise sensitivity, now feels calmer and more comfortable in group settings because the headphones provide a sense of control over their environment. These small changes make a big impact on their confidence and willingness to participate.","fullyFundedDate":1750375629632,"projectUrl":"project/headphones-no-more-ouchy-ears/9319947/","projectTitle":"Headphones!
