Kids are grabbing the Kirby volumes completely out of order because they're just TOO excited to wait, and we already have an official waitlist for of Chi's Sweet Home. This was the second book in the series that we were reading. There are many good lessons in this book to live life by. One of the many lessons is about working hard and sticking to it. I was great to have an individual copy for every student. \r\n\r\nSeveral of the other books purchased were graphic novels, which I have discovered are the only books some students will read. The graphic novels were very powerful because students that do not normally read were picking up books and actually reading and enjoying books. This has lead to them making lists of books for the Librarian to purchase for her orders for books to add to the library. \r\n\r\nDue to having books that students want to read we have increased our choice reading time, more students are taking their library books home to read. I truly feel that by continually exposing them to more books they began to enjoy books more and their overall reading will improve and for this I am greatly appreciative.","fullyFundedDate":1739081017821,"projectUrl":"project/what-should-i-choose-to-read/8965043/","projectTitle":"What Should I Choose to Read?","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mahler","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2565256_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1550197648608","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2565256"},{"teacherId":3172469,"projectId":8917059,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for providing my students (and many more students in years to come) the opportunity to do a book study on Restart.
