Having multiple copies of each title has made the books much more accessible and inviting, allowing students to easily find and enjoy stories that interest them. Many were immediately drawn to the bright covers and familiar authors, and several students have already started reading through the list on their own. Starting the year with these engaging books helped spark enthusiasm for reading and encouraged students to explore new stories and genres.\r\n\r\nThese books are now a regular part of our classroom library, available for students to choose during independent reading time. Having enough copies of each title means that several students can read the same book at the same time if they choose, leading to spontaneous conversations and shared excitement about favorite moments and characters. Later in the year, students will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite OTTER nominee, which adds a fun sense of purpose to their reading. Students quickly learned how to use each part of our setup—where to find pencils and glue sticks, how to return shared materials, and where to check their mailboxes for notes or finished work. Having everything organized from day one helped everyone settle into routines smoothly and made the classroom feel calm and ready for learning.\r\n\r\nWe use these organizational tools every day during our lessons and projects. The caddies keep table supplies within easy reach during writing and art time, while the drawers help us store and rotate materials for different subjects.
