These resources have given students hands-on, engaging ways to practice phonics and early reading skills. The CVC game makes learning sounds and blending words fun, helping my young learners build confidence as they successfully read and spell simple words. The decodable readers align with the phonics patterns being taught, allowing students to apply their skills in real texts they can actually read—boosting motivation and independence.\r\n\r\nI have seen my students become more excited about reading as they engage with these new materials during small-group lessons and literacy centers. The decodable readers and game also make it easier to differentiate instruction, giving each child the right level of challenge. \r\n\r\nOverall, these DonorsChoose resources have strengthened foundational literacy skills, supported systematic phonics instruction, and helped create a more confident, enthusiastic group of beginning readers.","fullyFundedDate":1755573500590,"projectUrl":"project/building-readers-one-sound-at-a-time/9622541/","projectTitle":"Building Readers, One Sound at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Stamp","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp364278_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755565919753","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/364278"},{"teacherId":4718696,"projectId":9216194,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generosity in providing the social-emotional books for the students I work with.
