Students have been using them at lunch, during class, and before school. One memorable moment came when a group of 6th graders organized a \"Three-Station Relay\" using the new basketballs. They were so excited by how well the balls bounced and gripped that even some students who were usually hesitant to participate joined in enthusiastically. \r\nWhen the students first saw the new basketballs and colorful pinnies, their faces lit up with excitement. The colorful pinnies made it easy to organize teams, and the students loved picking their colors. One student even said, \"It feels like we're a real team now!\" The new gear sparked enthusiasm and boosted participation right away. \r\nThank you again for your donation and help keeping our students excited about being active!","fullyFundedDate":1762267710809,"projectUrl":"project/new-basketballs-and-pinnies/9747446/","projectTitle":"New Basketballs and Pinnies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Goings","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9852274_orig.jpg?crop=307,307,x35,y83&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1733176239076","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9852274"},{"teacherId":9852274,"projectId":9223450,"letterContent":"On behalf of the entire PE department and our students, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for the generous donation of new footballs to our program. The students are absolutely thrilled to have high-quality equipment to use in class and at lunch time. From the moment the new footballs arrived, there's been a noticeable boost in energy and excitement during our football units and open play time. Whether they're practicing passing, running drills, or playing full games, the students are more excited about football and learning how to play. Students of all skill levels are getting more opportunities to develop their techniques, build teamwork, and enjoy the game.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new footballs, their faces lit up with excitement and curiosity. Many of them immediately picked them up, tossing them back and forth, commenting on how \"cool\" and \"official\" they looked compared to the older ones. Students were eager to get started, and even those who aren't usually enthusiastic about football were showing more interest. The new equipment really gave them a sense of pride and motivation, and it set a positive tone. For our adaptive learners, the use of beach balls has been especially beneficial, since they're soft, easy to handle, and can be incorporated into activities that promote sensory and motor development. Students have been enjoying games where they pass, hit, or catch the ball, or even relay races where they roll it from one point to another. Students were also thrilled to see new putt putt clubs. Since mini-golf isn't something every student is familiar with, there was a lot of excitement and questions about how mini golf is played. Students wanted to learn about different grips, swings, techniques, and asked questions about how to improve their skills or make their shots more accurate. Kids had a lot of fun the first day using the clubs and perfecting their putting skills.","fullyFundedDate":1738355063647,"projectUrl":"project/adaptive-equipment-for-all-types-of-stud/9004172/","projectTitle":"Adaptive Equipment for All Types of Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Goings","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9852274_orig.jpg?crop=307,307,x35,y83&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1733176239076","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9852274"},{"teacherId":9631538,"projectId":8571281,"letterContent":"My students were over-the-moon excited when presented with the wonderful materials that were a part of this project. They've been using them before and after school for both practice and friendly competitions, and it's clear that the lighter weight has made a huge difference. Before, some of the students struggled a bit with the heavier rackets, but now they're able to focus more on their technique and improve their swings without worrying about fatigue. Also the new rackets have a better stringed area which allows the birdie to fly further. \r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting moments was when a group of students tried out the new rackets for the first time during a practice session.
