The students in my class have loved having the cube seating! They enjoy sitting on them during lessons. This has made viewing instructional resources so much easier. The students take turns using them and they are never empty! This clearly shows their popularity. Also, students use them during independent reading and writing time. They are light weight so they are frequently moved all around the classroom as students choose cozy spaces to focus and learn. Students can be seen sitting on them and reading a book, using the cubes as a table for writing, or sharing a cube during partner games. In the fall, the district administrators did a walk through of my classroom and the superintendent shared her interest in the cubes when she commented on how engaging they were for student learning and inquired on how to get a set for her own daughter who is also a teacher. Parent volunteers have also commented on how much students seem to enjoy learning while utilizing these cubes. \r\n\r\nWhen I fist unpacked these cubes, several neighbor teachers were eager to ask questions about how I planned to use them and the office staff were surprised UPS dropped off 4 huge boxes! Then on the first day I placed them in my classroom, the kids walked in and couldn't stop talking about how soft, colorful, and comfortable the cubes were! It was clear they were a hit right off the bat! \r\n\r\nI appreciate having these cubes so much and because of your donation and the durability of these cubes, they will be utilized and loved to increase reading/writing engagement for years to come!
