When we unrolled it, their eyes lit up at the bright colors and detailed map. One student immediately found Mexico and where they were on the map and they talked about how far away they were from family.\r\n\r\nThis rug has become so much more than just a seating area – it's turned into an interactive learning tool that brings geography to life. During our social studies lessons, students love to sit physically in different states as we learn about them. \r\n\r\nThe vibrant colors and durability of the rug have made our classroom feel more welcoming and organized. It's become our main gathering spot for reading time, class discussions, and even our morning meetings. One of my favorite moments was watching a group of students use the rug during their free time to plan imaginary road trips across the country!\r\n\r\nThank you for helping create this engaging learning space. Your generosity has put the United States at our feet, making geography and social studies come alive for my students every single day.\r\n\r\nWith grateful appreciation,\r\n[Your name]","fullyFundedDate":1725034450343,"projectUrl":"project/a-magic-carpet-is-needed-for-an-adventur/8666583/","projectTitle":"A Magic Carpet Is Needed for an Adventurous Class!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Buchanan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9681795"},{"teacherId":9738005,"projectId":8751994,"letterContent":"I want to take a moment to thank to thank you for your generosity in supporting my classroom with some much needed materials for my classroom. My students desperately needed some new hands-on materials for math, reading, and hands-on activity time. We have been using these new materials daily and the kids are having a ball. \r\n\r\nI have noticed a huge difference in their ability to get along well together as teammates, problem solving skills, and fine motor development as many of the manipulatives I was able to purchase were hands-on manipulatives that were meant for either partners or groups to use together. Win-win!\r\n\r\nI was also able to purchase a class set of a novel for my high reading group and we are loving reading this during small group (except that I teach both classes at once - so my group isn't really small!) time. I am putting in a picture of this for you to see how engrossed they are in their novel. We are reading The Cricket in Times Square. I have a very fun culminating activity planned for when we finish as well. I am so very excited about this!
