They then decide how to spend it at the store. \r\n\r\nIt was rewarding seeing the students happiness with the new items. They are excited to buy new things and have options at school store. As their mentor we meet weekly to discuss how we can improve attendance. My lessons highlight the importance of attendance and impact it has on their learning. Additionally, student earn a prize for meeting monthly goals. Some students have earned perfect attendance recognition for a particular month. They get super excited to earn some of these prizes. \r\n\r\nThe next steps for the attendance project is to begin career exploration with these students. Students will identify a career of interest to research. We will begin talking about how attendance impacts you in the workforce.
