For our first project, we made coasters with a mixture of epoxy, wood, and colored pigments. Some students chose to incorporate a picture or sticker embedded in their coaster.\r\n\r\nStudents were really intrigued to learn about epoxy and loved the opportunity to be creative. Many students were excited to give their coaster to a family member and tried to create a product that someone else would appreciate. It was gratifying to me to see the joy that comes from giving a gift away. \r\n\r\nMany lessons were learned as mistakes are bound to happen when doing a project for the first time. Both students and I reflected on what went well, and what we would do different if given the opportunity again. I have enough remaining epoxy and materials to continue to impact many more students in the future. I'm excited to apply those lessons learned in the future!","fullyFundedDate":1732137654338,"projectUrl":"project/epoxy-resin-the-possibilities-are-endl/8873921/","projectTitle":"Epoxy Resin: The Possibilities are Endless!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Hanson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9801983"},{"teacherId":9765773,"projectId":8803969,"letterContent":"Thanks to your support, our students have been loving the new pickleball and badminton equipment. It's been so fun watching them dive into these sports, whether it's their first time picking up a paddle or they're already showing off some serious skills. The energy in our gym and on the courts has been incredible—students are engaged, cheering each other on, and having a blast while staying active.\r\n\r\nThe pickleball games have been a hit, with students of all ability levels jumping in and getting the hang of it quickly. The badminton rackets are just as popular, with kids practicing their serves and working together in doubles matches. These sports have been great because they're easy to learn, but there's still plenty of challenge to keep everyone excited. It's been awesome to see students who don't always love traditional team sports finding their place and having fun.\r\n\r\nYour donation didn't just get us new equipment—it gave our students new opportunities to connect, compete, and grow. They're not only learning about the sports but also building confidence, teamwork, and a love for staying active.
