Your gift has made a meaningful difference for my students, and I'd love to share with you how it's impacted our daily learning.\r\n\r\nSince receiving these new resources, my students have been able to focus better, complete their work more successfully, and perhaps most importantly, feel empowered by having choices. They appreciate being able to decide what they need in a given moment, whether it's a tool for focus, comfort, or flexibility. Having that independence has created a more positive and productive classroom environment.\r\n\r\nThe students were very excited when the materials first arrived. After a little teaching on how to use and request the items appropriately, they quickly became a favorite part of our room. Even now, they remain popular and well-used every day this school year.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, I'm excited to continue building on this success. My next goal is to possibly purchase more stools to give students additional seating choices and to explore removable fidgets that aren't permanent so those who need them can benefit, and those who don't can keep their space distraction free.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has given my students more than supplies; you've given them confidence, joy, and the tools they need to thrive. Thank you for investing in their learning journey and for being a partner in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1742575793321,"projectUrl":"project/from-static-to-dynamic-student-engageme/9160082/","projectTitle":"From Static to Dynamic: Student Engagement through Flexible Seating","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. King","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9967411_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1742254997132","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/patty-king"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_36580","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":801,"numTeachers":46,"percentFrplEligible":35,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":81,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"17.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":36580,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Northwood Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Northwood Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/washington/mead-school-district-354/northwood-middle-school/36580"}
