I used your book donations to put together a book club for my students. They were THRILLED to have access to new to them texts and to be able to engage with their classmates. We used these book clubs as an anchor for our small group reading instruction. It was incredible to see students engage with text on a deeper level and relate to new stories and experiences. Embedding book clubs into our classroom also helped students to continue expanding their ability to have discussions and ask questions of each other. When they were finished reading their books they immediately were requesting a new text option or the sequel to some of the books.
