I have been so impressed with the care they have demonstrated when handling these special instruments. At this point, 5th graders have learned how to sit upright, how to hold the neckwith their left hand, and how to strum 3 chords! (C, C7, F) We have been strumming downstrokes so far but this week we will introduce more complicated strumming patterns such as Down, down-up. They have already been able to play along to a few songs including \"We are dancing In the Forest\", \"Best Day of My Life\", and \"Lime in the Coconut\".
