I am so excited to tell you about all of the cool projects that we have been working on as a result of your donations! The kids were so excited about the new items - the robotics-circuit cart has been a very big hit! \r\n\r\nWe have worked on animating and have been able to use the styluses, mice, and bags to keep all of our supplies together. We have been able to use the Chibitronics circuit materials to make circuits - we are currently reading Howl's Moving Castle in one of my middle school elective classes, and are going to make a circuit/cardboard castle to go along with the story. The glue guns and cardboard cutting tools have been amazing, and the extension hubs have meant that students don't have to lay on the ground to use their glue guns! Every donated item has been amazing and has added to our Library-Lab program!! We are already using the weather models and connecting the outside world to our classroom as well as smaller communities. The kids have been so excited to see what each new day brings and how we are expanding our world vision beyond the classroom. \r\nSome of my students that are more challenged academically are encouraged to learn and try to do the hard work. I cannot express how this has impacted the science and math connections we are able to make everyday. To see kids ready to try new things as well as have the confidence to tell others about what they are learning is such a vital role for them.","fullyFundedDate":1749756978362,"projectUrl":"project/learning-science-and-math-in-our-classro/9372737/","projectTitle":"Learning Science and Math in our Classroom Kitchen","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Andi","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10041409"},{"teacherId":10041409,"projectId":9446313,"letterContent":"This project has had a huge impact on my students. we are outside gathering elderberries for medicinal syrup. My students have spent time in class researching recipes for producing our syrup. They have researched traditional methods of gathering and cooking the syrup. The kids have written recipe cards to share with their families as well as a list of medicinal uses. I think the most meaningful part of the research was discovering the traditional methods and uses. For our Native kids it really gave the unit meaning. \r\nWe have been outside finding lessons and having discussions that I do not think were possible without your amazing donations. This means so much to myself and the students and even their families. The equipment has already seen plenty of use, allowing our young artists to work confidently with proper protection and focus fully on their art.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, we've even been able to launch a new multilayer stencil-making class, which has opened up exciting new artistic possibilities.
