These snacks and meals have helped me keep my students bellies full and their minds ready to learn. \r\n\r\nMy students have been learning how to independently ask for a snack and how to independently get the snack/prepare the meal. Having healthy options to share is also very important. My students are now doing daily wellness routines, tracking their steps, and encouraging their friends and families to be more physically active! We've started a classroom step challenge and I consistently lose to my active students. \r\n\r\nWe are loving the convenience of having a treadmill and not having to go outside to walk in the rainy Seattle weather. This is also a safe option for my students to regulate their sensory/movement needs while staying in the same area as their peers and teachers. \r\n\r\nWe are so thankful for the materials this grant provided!
