My students have enjoyed all of the new tools and supports that we have to use in lessons. Many of these tools are portable and we can use them in a variety of locations and bring them to different locations for support on the go. For my students with limited speech they are able to enjoy these materials and use the visuals to participate with all of their peers. The different tools for a variety of tactile input is helpful to introduce different textures not only for sensory input but for science lessons as we explore how things feel. These tools will see a lot of use this year and many years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1746634547106,"projectUrl":"project/movement-learning-social-emotional-supp/9065479/","projectTitle":"Movement Learning, Social Emotional Supports and Sensory Activities","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Locklear","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4521481_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723014379786","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-locklear"},{"teacherId":4521481,"projectId":8797269,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and my students with resources to support their financial literacy knowledge. The magnetic money and stories are so helpful to allow my students to be hands on with realistic looking money and the stories are applicable to their age. We are able to connect our curriculum with these supports to practice daily with our money and financial skills. We can also keep the magnet money out for reference during other activities that we work on for easy storage. \r\n\r\nThe little book of giving has been a great addition to our classroom library and we have been able to tie it into our unit theme 'Gift of Giving' and it works so seamlessly into our curriculum. We are able to extend our core curriculum activities with these stories and we will be able to revisit them each year. The book 'What is money' is also a big hit with my students with the great animations and the different representations of money in the illustrations. We can use the magnet money to pass around examples of real money and practice sorting like monies. These are such great stories to help kids understand on their level.","fullyFundedDate":1727634616828,"projectUrl":"project/financial-literacy-for-our-youngest-lear/8797269/","projectTitle":"Financial Literacy for Our Youngest Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Locklear","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4521481_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723014379786","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-locklear"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_35713","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":492,"numTeachers":26,"percentFrplEligible":50,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":73,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"18.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":70.8,"schoolId":35713,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Coupeville Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Coupeville Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/washington/coupeville-school-district-204/coupeville-elementary-school/35713"}
