With the addition of headphones and computer mice, students are able to focus more deeply, work at their own pace, and engage with digital learning programs without distractions. Headphones allow students to listen carefully to instructions, audio books, and feedback, while mice make navigating programs easier and less frustrating than using trackpads.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for my students is having tools that make them feel successful and independent. Many students light up when they realize they can control their learning more confidently—clicking, dragging, highlighting, and listening without constantly needing help. These simple tools give them ownership over their work and help learning feel smoother and more enjoyable.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have especially benefited from this technology, including those who struggle with attention, fine motor skills, or confidence when using computers. Students who were once hesitant now jump right into their work, and students who need a quieter environment are able to stay regulated and focused. These tools have helped create a calmer, more productive classroom where all students can thrive.\r\nThank you for making this possible for my students and for supporting their learning in such a meaningful way.","fullyFundedDate":1762267506078,"projectUrl":"project/tools-for-tech-success/9629244/","projectTitle":"Tools For Tech Success","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Thurman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8081714_orig.jpg?crop=1845,1845,x146,y957&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1632282827856","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/paige-thurman"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_36543","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":410,"numTeachers":31,"percentFrplEligible":31,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":81,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"13.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":73.3,"schoolId":36543,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Chester Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Chester Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/washington/central-valley-school-district-356/chester-elementary-school/36543"}
