I cannot believe how fantastical the patterns are for our students to use to play tail tag. Unloading the box, roll after roll of cool patterns such as unicorns, cats, dogs, tie dye, galaxy and too many to name were in the box and shipped to our school. \r\nThe project will now go into the manufacturing stage. (Which basically means, I will very slowly and methodically cut and put together the tails.) We will be able to have small groups shaking their tails all over the gym! Students will laugh, run, and work cooperatively to pull out the tails of other teams! I can picture so many fun patterns and numerous amounts of teams that our students will able to be on because of these rolls of duct tape!\r\nThank you again for supporting the students here at Mount Pleasant. Because of the generosity of donors like yourself, students lives will be more colorful, the gym will be filled with more smiles and students laughter will echo down the halls.","fullyFundedDate":1755855858942,"projectUrl":"project/shake-your-tail-feather/9605744/","projectTitle":"Shake Your Tail Feather","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Angell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5634103_orig.jpg?crop=2099,2099,x216,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754653586728","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/allison-angell"},{"teacherId":5634103,"projectId":9572482,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for helping my students receive oodles of noodles for Mount Pleasant Elementary School! Because of your generosity, the students here will be able to participate with new noodles and play amazing activities.\r\nWhen the noodles arrived and I started unpacking them, students could not believe how many noodles we have received! We have so many choices of colors and tagging batons that we do not even know where to start! Students are now able to strike other noodles off a tee with \"bats\" that are sturdy and can swing correctly. Students can now chase each other around and \"Drop that Linguini\" with long noodles that will make them laugh. Students now pass the spaghetti and meatballs and work cooperatively to achieve a goal.\r\nAgain, thank you so much for brightening the day of the students here at Mount Pleasant Elementary School! I thought I had an idea about how adorable these turtles were, and then I opened the package!\r\n Oh My Goodness! These little turtles are adorable! From the moment the students walk into the gym, (even the older students) their eyes go straight to the turtles! \"When are WE going to get to use them?\" is always the first question I hear. \r\n Going over balancing with little students has been fun. They never realized how just standing up straight and walking requires balancing. Students have explored balancing on the turtles on their own in their self space. Then I reach down, pull out a little card and read the specific turtle challenges from the cards. Students excitedly switch turtles, and because it is a new color turtle they now go to and balance on, it is a new challenge... (Kids are so great like that!) \r\nThank you so much for helping our students at Mount Pleasant learn how to balance a little better with our new turtles and balance beams! It is these little colorful pieces of equipment that really make a difference. They might not remember what we did with them when they are older, but they will remember the little turtles and how much fun they had with them.","fullyFundedDate":1754838735197,"projectUrl":"project/turtle-island/9559288/","projectTitle":"Turtle Island","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Angell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5634103_orig.jpg?crop=2099,2099,x216,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754653586728","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/allison-angell"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_34464","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":246,"numTeachers":22,"percentFrplEligible":81,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":72,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":12,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":41.4,"schoolId":34464,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Mount Pleasant Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Mount Pleasant Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/virginia/roanoke-county-public-school-district/mt-pleasant-elementary-school/34464"}
