Each morning, my students gather on the rug for our morning meeting (a time when we connect, share, and start the day as a community). The rug provides a comfortable, welcoming space that helps students feel safe and ready to learn. It has become the center of our classroom, where ideas are shared, stories are told, and friendships grow.\r\n\r\nWhen the rug first arrived, the excitement was contagious! Students rushed to find their favorite color and immediately began using it for independent reading, partner work, and even creative play during free time (it is the biggest indoor recess hit for our marble run course). It has quickly become a symbol of comfort and belonging in our classroom.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our lessons, the rug remains an essential part of our daily routine. Whether we're discussing a new book, collaborating in small groups, or singing multiplication songs, the rug brings us together in a way that desks just can't. Thanks to your generosity, my students now have a space that fosters teamwork, focus, and a genuine love for learning.","fullyFundedDate":1756754017987,"projectUrl":"project/a-rug-to-bring-us-together/9448481/","projectTitle":"A Rug to Bring Us Together!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Satterfield","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10072041"},{"teacherId":4540069,"projectId":8818401,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations to our project. With your support, my students were able to gather relevant materials that assisted them in their Lego League Competition. We spent months planning, building, coding, researching, etc. in order to compete. Prior to your donation, we felt \"behind\" in what we needed. When the students opened the boxes to our new materials, they instantly seemed to gain confidence because they felt like they were fully prepared for this competition. \r\nWe had access to a game table, storage solutions to protect their robot, additional pieces to build out their design, and confidence. So THANK YOU for that. \r\n\r\nWe did want to share with you how our competition went. While we did not move on to the next round, our team was able to get a 1st place finish in the area of Core Values. This area is designed for teams who are recognized for their sportsmanship, cooperation, respectfulness, and overall good attitude. What an honor it was, as their coach, to see these students exemplify strong character even when the competition did not go our way. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your support in our project.
