It is important that students can walk into their classroom and see themselves. The main way I do this is by curating my classroom library. Our classroom library has classics, stories with characters and experiences that match the students in my classroom. The only thing I was missing were books in a their language, many of my students are wanting to learn how to read in their language and others who want to learn a new language. This project allows for that to become possibility. \r\nThis year has been especially special because my student love to share their languages. We have had times where the students are teaching others how to say common phrases in a different language and other times when doing project the students want to make it bilingual so when they are put up in our hallways then all students can access the project. This was not a requirement or even discussed, the students took it upon themselves to help each other.","fullyFundedDate":1745410237890,"projectUrl":"project/books-in-spanish/9255371/","projectTitle":"Books in Spanish","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gebauer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6678356"},{"teacherId":8078034,"projectId":8993237,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for helping bring new books into our classroom!
