The 3D printer has been an amazing addition and we are finding new ways to impact our community in a positive way. It's support from donors like you that makes educational opportunities possible for our school.\r\n\r\nWe have started by finding pre-printed models to learn how to use the 3D printer. Students have been able to come in and see it working. We explain the process and how it can be used. This has been a great way to get them interested about this new tool.\r\n\r\nWe have now moved on to use time on the 3D printer as an incentive for positive behavior or a prize for school events. Some classrooms have create a reward certificate to spend time with the technology team learning how to use 3D computer aided design programs, like TinkerCad, to create models and then bring them to life. It's amazing to see their creativity and eyes light up when their creation comes to life. Most recently, a few classrooms have been using it to create original gifts for our Assistant Principals and Principals for appreciation weeks. \r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will be planning lessons teachers can do with students to build models, to solve real world problems and make connections to concepts in all academic areas.\r\n\r\nWe are so grateful at Eagle View for the addition of our new 3D printer and supplies. It has brought excitement to our building and spark creativity in our students.
